Silkroad Private Server Advertising Rules

Welcome to the Silkroad Online Private Servers section.

This section is for promoting Silkroad Online private servers: server information, opening dates, features, events and official announcements. To keep it clean, fair and useful for everyone, follow the rules below.

Before Posting

  • Make sure your thread contains accurate and up-to-date server information.
  • Use a clear title that includes the important details: server name, cap, race, rates, and opening date.
  • Select the correct cap prefix for your thread. The prefix is what players filter by, so a wrong one hides your server from the people looking for it.
  • Do not post misleading information, fake claims, fake player counts, or copied content.
  • Server owners and team members are responsible for the content they publish.

Section Rules

  1. One Thread Per Server

Each server may have only one active thread in this section. Update your existing thread instead of opening a new one. Duplicates may be removed, merged, or locked, and repeated duplicate posting may result in moderation action.

  2. Official Server Representatives Only

Advertisement threads may only be created by the server owner, an official team member, or an authorized representative. This prevents confusion, impersonation, and misleading advertisements.

  3. No Plagiarism or Stolen Content

Do not copy another server's EXACT thread text, images, logos, banners, designs, feature lists, or descriptions without permission. You may only use third-party content if you have permission from the original owner, and staff may ask for proof.

  4. Website and Contact Information

Your thread should include a valid website, registration page, or official contact method. Social media links such as Discord, YouTube or Telegram may be included, but must not be used to mislead users or redirect them to unrelated content.

  5. No Shortened or Misleading Links

URL shorteners, masked links, forced redirects, and misleading download links are not allowed. Every website, download, registration, Discord and social link must be clear and directly accessible.

  6. Bumping
    • You may bump your own thread once every 24 hours.
    • Use the Bump Thread button where available.
    • Pushing a thread with fake replies, alternate accounts, or coordinated spam is not allowed.
    • Replies posted only to move a thread upward may be removed.
  7. Images, Banners, and External Media

Images and banners must be relevant to the advertised server. Do not hotlink media from competing forums. Staff may remove broken, misleading, inappropriate, or suspicious media.

  8. Accurate Server Information

Your thread must not contain false or deceptive claims, including:
    • Misleading "official" claims
    • Copied or manipulated testimonials
Announced opening and beta dates are commitments. If a date changes, update your thread. Repeatedly announcing dates you do not meet will cost you your listing.

  9. Respect Other Servers

Do not use your thread to attack, insult, accuse, or defame other servers, owners, or communities. Competition is welcome. Toxic advertising is not.

  10. No Unverified Accusations

Do not post scam claims, corruption claims, or other negative allegations without clear evidence. Feedback is allowed, but it must be respectful, factual, and verifiable.

  11. No Malicious Content

Server files, launchers, patches, websites and external links must not contain malware, stealers, keyloggers, phishing pages, or any harmful software. Threads containing suspicious or harmful links are removed immediately.

When a Server Closes

  • Threads for servers that are no longer online are moved to the Closed Servers section rather than deleted, so players can still find their history.
  • If your server closes, tell us and we will move the thread. If it reopens, we will move it back.
  • Do not open a new thread for a relaunch of the same project — ask staff to restore the original one.

Private Server Risk Notice

  • Private servers are operated by independent owners and teams.
  • Playing on a private server may involve risks including server closure, account loss, payment disputes, rule changes, service interruptions, and data loss.
  • Users join, play, donate, trade and make purchases at their own risk.
  • Check a server's website, files, rules, payment methods and safety before joining or paying for anything.

Forum Neutrality and Responsibility

  • SroWay is a neutral platform for server advertisements and community discussion.
  • SroWay does not own, operate, verify, or guarantee any private server advertised here.
  • SroWay is not responsible for the decisions, management, payments, punishments, disputes, bans, updates, or internal operations of advertised servers.
  • Server owners are responsible for their own operations, payments, services, promises, events, rewards, files, websites, and handling of user data.
  • Any purchase, donation, item sale, account service or payment made outside SroWay is the responsibility of the users and server owners involved.
  • We remove advertisements that appear harmful, fraudulent, misleading, illegal, or unsafe.

Reporting Rule Violations

If you see a thread that breaks these rules, use the Report button. A useful report includes:

  • The reason for the report
  • Relevant links
  • Screenshots or proof, if available
  • A short explanation of the issue

Depending on the case, staff may edit, move, lock, merge, or remove content. Users may receive a reminder, warning, temporary restriction, or ban.

Moderator Discretion

Moderators review each case based on context, intent, severity and user history.

Not every case is treated the same way. Staff decisions are made to keep this section fair, clean and safe for the community.
