BEFORE YOU START — READ THIS

• You cannot enter the Test Arena while wearing a Job outfit. Take off Trader / Hunter / Thief gear first.
• You cannot start the summoning ritual while wearing a Job outfit either.
• Dying in the Test Arena ends the test immediately. You get teleported back to General Sonhyeon after 15 seconds and must retry.
• Keep free inventory space. Jeonghye, Gwakwi, Miaoryeong and Sonhyeon all refuse to hand over items if your inventory is full.
• The Lost Spirit can only be damaged while you are in Berserk mode. Go in with a full Berserk gauge.
• The ritual has a time limit — you get a warning 5 minutes before it expires.

WALKTHROUGH

Step 1 — Army Test 1 (Chinese)

1. Go to General Sonhyeon in Jangan and accept the quest.
2. He explains the test: you will be teleported into a Test Arena and face an Army Captain (Lv.95).
3. Take off any Job outfit, then talk to him again and choose "Enter the Test Arena".
4. Inside, you win by either:
   • Killing the Army Captain within 10 minutes, or
   • Surviving the full 10 minutes
5. Army Commanders (Lv.80) spawn periodically to interrupt you — clear them while you fight.
6. If you die, the test ends and you are returned to Sonhyeon in 15 seconds. You can retry as many times as you need.
7. After passing, talk to Sonhyeon again.

Welcome. By the mandate of His Imperial Majesty, the imperial army is seeking men and women of power to fight against transcendental beings that threaten this world.

Step 2 — Material for medicine (Chinese)

1. Sonhyeon tells you about the pills the imperial army recovered from a group performing experiments on humans — pills that massively boost Berserk power.
2. The key ingredient is the Piece of Spirit, which no ordinary human can obtain.
3. Go to Exorcist Miaoryeong in Jangan and talk to her.

The ingredient needed for the pills is Piece of Spirit. Since it is impossible for an ordinary human to come in contact with a soul, you should go to Miaoryeong.

Step 3 — Stone Beast's Bell (Chinese)

1. Miaoryeong explains the ritual needs two ingredients: a Spirit's Shell and a Normal Spirit.
2. The Shell comes from an Old Tombstone Ghost, which sleeps inside a tombstone and only wakes to the sound of a Spirit's Bell.
3. Head to the Qin-Shi Tomb and hunt Stone Ghost (Lv.86) / Tomb Ghost (Lv.87) / Tomb Spirit (Lv.88) until you get a Stone Beast's Bell.
4. The bell still carries demonic energy, so take it to Buddhist Priest Jeonghye at the Temple of Mercy and Grace.

The Lion Statue monsters in the Qin-Shi Tomb wear a bell around their necks. Originally, these were enchanted and put on the statues to prevent souls from approaching the Tomb.

Step 4 — Spirit's Shell (Chinese)

1. Jeonghye purifies the bell with the power of the Buddha — pick "Imbue with the power of the Buddha". You receive the Spirit's Bell.
2. Travel to the cemetery southeast of Jangan.
3. Exact spot: go deep into the cemetery to the point where the path splits into three. Look west — there is a tree, and beneath it a fallen old tombstone. ( X:7179 Y:314 )
4. Use the Spirit's Bell there. The bell will not work anywhere else — you get "You cannot use the bell here."
5. An Old Tombstone Ghost (Lv.95) spawns. Kill it and take the Spirit's Shell.
6. Bring the Shell back to Miaoryeong.

Deep in the cemetery located to the southeast of Jangan, along the path where it splits into three. To the west of it is a tree. Some claim to have seen an Old Tombstone Ghost in the old tombstone that fell over. Use your bell there.

Step 5 — Miaoryeong's Charm (Chinese)

1. Miaoryeong now needs a Normal Spirit, taken from the Niya Generals at the Niya Remains in Taklamakan.
2. To capture a spirit you need a Trap for Spirit, and only Hunter Associate Gwakwi can make one.
3. Take Miaoryeong's charm to Gwakwi at the Jangan Hunter's Guild.

Step 6 — The Spirit (Chinese)

1. Gwakwi makes you a Trap for Spirit.
2. Go to the Niya Remains and place the trap on the ground.
3. Lure a Niya General (Lv.80) onto the trap. The spirit is captured when it dies on top of it.
4. The capture can fail in two ways:
   • You get a Flutter Spirit instead — a spirit eaten away by bitterness. Do not throw it away: Miaoryeong buys Flutter Spirits at a fair price.
   • The capture simply fails — "You have failed to capture the spirit."
5. Out of traps? Go back to Gwakwi and ask for another one.
6. Repeat until you obtain a Normal Spirit, then bring it to Miaoryeong.

One thing, though, is that the bitterness that had been harboring might have eaten away at their spirits and you might end up with Flutter Spirits. But it has to be a Normal Spirit. I use Flutter Spirits to make talismans, so I will pay you a fair price for them if you bring them to me.

Step 7 — Piece of Spirit (Chinese)

1. With both ingredients in hand, Miaoryeong prepares the soul summoning ritual. Talk to her again once she is ready.
2. She hands you the Exorcist's charm — without it you cannot even see the soul.
3. Take off any Job outfit, then choose "Begin the ritual".
4. A Lost Spirit (Lv.95) is summoned.
5. You must be in Berserk mode to damage it. Only when the two spirit powers collide can you hurt the soul and break a fragment off it.
6. Kill it to obtain the Piece of Spirit. A warning appears 5 minutes before the ritual expires.
7. If you fail, you can simply run the ritual again.

To obtain fragments from the summoned soul, you have to be in the Berserk mode. When the powers of the souls collide, you can damage the soul and get the fragment at that time.

Step 8 — New Power (Chinese)

1. Take the Piece of Spirit to General Sonhyeon in Jangan.
2. He makes the pill. Choose "Eat the pill".
3. Done.

There. The pill is ready. Once you consume this pill, you can use an ability called Ultra-Berserk, the enhanced version of the conventional Berserk mode. And you can also use United Martial Berserk when those in the Ultra-Berserk mode have come together. Also, His Imperial Majesty congratulates those who have endured the challenging journey to obtain the Ultra-Berserk ability and has granted a title.
