Lore: "A mask made of ground human skulls. They are said to have been in use due to the belief that wearing the mask made of ground human skulls would grant the wearer the wisdom. Therefore, the more the masks, the more the Togui would be praised as a wise one, soon to become the next chief to leave the Toguis. This is perhaps the reason why many headless corpses in a region where Toguis are very active in their pillaging. It is also said that there are always conflicts big and small among the Toguis themselves to seize one another's masks."

Lore: "Toguis generally have low intelligence. Although the Togui Sorcerers have the highest intelligence among them, this is only relative. Because of this, Toguis felt the need to record their wisdom so as not to forget it, and they wrote with animal blood on old piles of paper. This is called the Spell Paper. It contains a variety of their cultural insights, anything from curses small and large, how to create and breathe life into a puppet, to the procedures of a ritual to drive out ill fortune. This is of great value to any scholar who studies the level of the Togui intelligence."

Lore: "The Elder Staff, pass down from one chief to the next, symbolizes the absolute authority of the chief. Although its shape may vary from one tribe to the next, it is generally made of a thick wooden stick with a monkey skull mounted on top, small stakes inserted on the sides and pebbles with holes hanging off of them. The shiny pebbles each represent the sun, the moon, fire, water and earth. The wooden stick represents the forest and the skull the afterlife. Toguis believed that their chief oversaw all of this, and those who would act against this authority would receive the divine punishment. Thus, they did not think to challenge the chief's authority."
