Chapter I: The Encounter in the Deep Sea
Long ago, Sereness was a pure Water Spirit whose sacred duty was to maintain the eternal peace of the oceans. However, when pirate Captain Giler's ship was surrounded and trapped by a ruthless swarm of King Nippers, Sereness appeared before Giler in human form. Defeating the sea monsters, she saved Giler and his crew. In doing so, she committed the ultimate forbidden act for a spirit: she fell deeply in love with a human.
Chapter II: The Betrayal & The Sunken Ship
Even though Sereness knew that Captain Giler was merely using her magical powers to navigate treacherous waters and plunder merchant vessels, her love was unconditional. But tragedy struck when a violent storm and rival pirates ambushed Giler's ship. The ship sank into the ocean depths, taking Giler's life with it.
Chapter III: The Harp of Dreams & Eternal Sorrow
Tormented by unimaginable grief, Sereness sought out the Sea Witch and acquired the legendary Harp of Dreams to erase her memories of Giler. Yet, after erasing Giler from her mind seven times, she remembered him seven times over. Memories may fade, but love etched upon a spirit's heart never dies. To this day, the Ghost Ship remains guarded by vengeful spirits, where no mortal dare approach without facing Sereness' endless sorrow.
